Extremely happy with the product and the service

Our family has had Ceiva frames since 2000 and have had nothing but good service and fun with the product. We are linked with 8 frames in our family and use the e-destination for those who do not have frames. We became frame owners in 2007 and connected to our wireless network with no problems. Perhaps since the other reviews were written Ceiva has improved their customer service and connectivity...but we couldnt be more satisfied.
Works Great for Older People.

I purchased this from Target (Ceiva3) for my parents who are in their 70's for Christmas. It is great! they do not have wireless or broadband in fact they don't have internet at all. All the family are now sending pictures. Every morning they have new ones. I have had to call the customer service once and they were really nice and helpful and it was my error. I don't know what service someone wrote cost 12.00, mine is 9.95 a month lots cheaper than my XM Radio.
I like how I can control all the fuctions from my computer so I can set it up how they want (time delays, recycle of photos, locking of photos to keep on the frame and ones to delete).
As far as the contract and lost pictures, I always download my pictures from my camera into dated files i.e. Christmas2006, NewYear2007, then using the free software from Ceiva (CEIVASender) I pick, edit, add text and send the pictures to the frame that way I always have the pictures. Since the whole idea is to share pictures, I want my parents to see the ones I have also.
One of the nice things is by using my computer I can go to the Ceiva Members page, click on the My Account tab, then click on the Now Showing
and see the same pictures my parents are seeing. You can even double click on one of the pictures and it will take you to another window where you can scroll through the pictues. If you double on the larger picture that is showing it will enlarge it. Use your right click and you can save the picture to you computer. Now all the family members that have computers can enjoy the pictures same as my mom and dad.
CEIVA has come up with two new frames just before Christmas 2006 and no longer have my parents model (CEIVA3) so I don't know if these have the broadband and wireless problems. I like the looks of the old ones better for older folks (looks more like the old wood style picture frame and not this new curved plastic frames).
So far - nothing but $600 down the toilet

I ordered the newest/latest/greatest Ceivas. Two of them. Bundled with 2 one year picture plans. Also ordered 2 wireless adapters and had to buy a router for my father's computer for the Ceiva to run wireless. I was a previous (wired) Ceiva customer and understand how the product works.
They were delayed in shipping but arrived the last shipping day before Christmas.
So far, we have talked to Ceiva reps 7 times over 3 days. Incredibly, they were not even able to register the serial number of one of the frames. The other frame is registered, but does not work via wireless. They have explained on successive occasions that there is a software issue; computer problems; wireless technicians busy (and will call me later), etc. Meanwhile, their website states that their network "is fully functional"
I just hung up the phone with my father who had spent quite some time on the phone with Ceiva and accomplished nothing and is very frustrated. Gee, nothing like trying to give your dear father some Christmas Cheer and he ends up yelling at you 3 days later over this great gift you bought. Not a good feeling.
I don't know what their issue is with the Wireless connection. Whatever it is, they need to get it right before they decide to market it to the masses.
Horrible service

Ordered 3 weeks before Christmas this year. Was told several times that the frames were backordered and would not ship out until the week before Christmas, but that they would be expeditied.
Come the last shipping day before Christmas and they are still backordered. Customer service is of no help.
How is it that a company can make one (and only one) product and still not be able to come close to making Christmas needs? I mean, they could have locked me (3 frames) in for life as a customer with their wildly overpriced $12 a month service. The first year was included with the frames we bought, but I have no doubt that we would have kept the service for ease of use. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY CAN SCREW IT UP THIS BAD!!!!
Terrible Product and Worse Customer Service

I purchased a ceiva 3 picture frame and a wireless adapter. The wireless adapter said that all you need is wireless internet. It never mentioned that for set up you need an analog phone and software version 309. I paid about $100 subscription fee and tried to set it up. I could not select the wireless option. I called the customer service and was told I needed an analog phone. I asked where that requirement was and was told it was not listed but it is necessary. I informed the rep that I had no phone and was then informed to use a fax line. Again I pointed out that I did not have an analog phone line. She was of no help.
I went to a friend's house with the phone and followed the website directions. It did not work. Again I had to call customer service. They instructed me what to do and I followed their directions. Again it did not work. I called again and was informed there was a glitch in the picture frame. I obtained directions on how to fix it. I went to a friends again and uploaded the necessary software. I returned home and followed the website instructions. Again they have not worked. This company makes no effort to help and have no customer service hours. They are terrible and I would stay away from them.
