Did not last

This printer broke before I could refill the ink. My sister had one and it did the same thing. I now have a Brother Laser All-in-one and the HP Photosmart 2700 and no problems. Epson quality is very poor. Stick with Brother, Samsung, or HP.
Ink sucker

Good looking output, and a inexpensive printer...but by the time you keep it fed, it is not inexpensive. The ink ends up costing you more than the money you saved...
good print quality but poor design

I had a CX4600 before I was sent a CX4800, which was fortunately covered and replaced under warranty due to the clogging issue many people have covered. I like the print quality of Epson printers, but unfortunately that's overshadowed by poor printer design.
That said, the trick with these printers is twofold:
1. TURN THE PRINTER OFF when you're not using it. Don't leave it on for extended periods of time. This causes the ink to dry out.
2. YOU MUST PRINT and/or run a cleaning cycle at AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH, if not more, to keep the ink from drying up in the waste ink hoses, which is the source of the worst clogs. It's even in the Epson manual, p30: "If you do not use your Epson Stylus CX often, it is a good idea to print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality".
It's a bit involved to repair yourself, but it can be done. Do a Google search for "inkjetprinterhelp" and you'll find a web site that has some comprehensive instruction on how to fix.
Shame on Epson for producing such a poor quality printer design.
This printer is a great buy

I have really liked this printer. I don't understand the complaints about photo printing because I think it prints good quality photos. It IS slow, but that isn't important to me. It's frugal on ink, and I like the ability to replace individual color cartridges as they run out.
wouldn't suggest this

the scanner works really good...but if you do not use the printer for a while, it says you are out of ink and have to replace the cartridges...not a really good 'all-in-one'!
