Sony VCL-0630X 30mm 0.6x Wide Angle Lens for DCR-HC96, DCR-DVD105, 205, 305, 405, 505, DCR-SR40 & 80 Camcorders

As a real estate agent, I am always looking for an edge over my competition and the opportunity to offer my clients more. Since 84% of buyers use the Internet to search for properties, photos can make or break the interest of consumers.

So, I decided to purchase the Sony VCL-0630X wide lens for my Sony DVD405 camcorder (The camcorder is also a camera). It was a wise decision. It produced a wider shot of the rooms. Normal photos can make a room look smaller than it really is. The wide lens made enough of a difference to be worth the purchase.

I also priced around, and found it priced the lowest on Amazon.com.

Loke the other reviewers I believe the picture this lens creates should have been standard on the camcorder. It makes taking movies much easier as you do not have to walk back 10 feet to take them.

I am giving this product one star simply because Amazon will not ship it to me. I am a United States Marine serving in Iraq, and cannot even get a lens for my camcorder for some unknown reason.

If you own a DCR-DVD105, do not waste your time purchasing this, you will have to return it if you do, even though the description says it will fit the DCR-DVD105 camera, it will NOT!, it is too big, my camera has a Carl Zeiss lens and the female threads on that lens is much smaller than the male threads on the Sony VCL-0630X 30mm 0.6x Wide Angle Lens.

That said, I don't know if all of the DCR-DVD105 cameras have this Carl Zeiss lens, if not you may get lucky, but don't be surprised if it doesn't fit when you receive it.
