Description
This Olympus S-HD-100 hard drive can work with your PC like any other hard-drive but it is specifically designed for use as auxiliary storage of images taken with the Olympus IR500 and IR300 digital-camera models. You can use it to download and organize images from those cameras. When connected to an IR series camera, the S-HD-100's built-in computer checks to see if an image has already been downloaded so only new images are transferred. The conveniently rechargeable S-HD-100, at about 10 ounces, is a practical large storage solution when taking your Olympus IR-series camera on long trips and serves as a simple, efficient, and economical image file system when at home. A beauty of design and engineering

This drive is a dream - small, light, stylish and very portable. It's a great external drive even if you don't have an Olympus digital camera to dock with. The fact that it requires its own power cord is a bit of a drag but everything stows away in the included nylon pouch. And at this price you can't go wrong.

Light, Beautiful , and Useful!

I bought the beauty because I wanted to use it to back up pictures and store other files (as an external drive) as well. I used it together with Olympus PA7 download adapter to download pictures from my Olympus D-590 camera and accessed it from my PC. It serves my two purposes perfectly. Owning a S-HD100/PA7 combo, I only need a small capacity xD card for my camera. Great product! High quality!
