I ordered this item in Oct. and have not recieved it yet. I purchased this with an extra camera. The camera came in but no monetor.
Ideal monitoring product

I bought this item as a housewarming gift for friends of mine. I was sketical with all the choices that are out there. When I received the system I gave it a try out. The first thing I noticed or heard was birds chipping in my back yard. I had placed the camera out in the patio. The picture was clear as was the sound. I bought an additional camera and set one up in by the front door and one near the back door. It worked perfectly. I realize my friends will probably have a monitored security system, but this product would be ideal for viewing when someone rings the doorbell, plus you can hook it up to a VCR when away from home.
