Description
The Raven spotting scope will certainly impress you with its optical excellence, mechanical durability, and exceptional value. The Raven features remarkable image resolution and excellent contrast and color fidelity, even at high powers. The Raven also excels in low light conditions, thanks to its large 78mm aperture and exceptional optical coatings. The Raven features fully multi-coated optics (all air to glass surfaces are coated with films of anti-reflective coatings) for maximum light transmission and brightness. The high quality optical system is then set in a sturdy aluminum alloy housing for extraordinary strength and durability. Choose the Raven when on hiking trips or long treks in the outdoors, it is very light for its size. Supplied with a view-through cordura carry case and the 20-60x zoom eyepiece which features a rubber eye cup that can be rolled up or down to accommodate people with or without eyeglasses. The Eagle Optics Raven Spotting Scope is covered under a lifetime warranty and also the Eagle Advantage (which allows for one no-fault repair at a maximum cost of $20 plus shipping and handling).

Purchased the Raven by Eagle Optics. Construction and features are solid, but the reason you buy a scope is for the view! Underwhelmed by the poor image quality at anything over 20x and difficulty using due to mediocre eye relief. Maybe Eagle Optics is victim of its own success with respect to all the overly-positive reviews. My expectations were greater. Would suggest resigning yourself to purchasing either a lesser expensive, higher quality 60MM and giving up on the magnification or bite the bullet and purchase one of the more premium scopes. This middle-of-the-road solution will leave you unsatisfied in my opinion. But hey, it's just one man's opinion :)
