I have been very impressed with the Eagle Optics Ranger binoculars and decided to give Eagle Optics a chance when I needed something very lightweight to stick in my pocket or glove compartment while I was just going about my regular business. You never know when an interesting bird will show up!

I am very happy with these Eagle Optics Triumph binoculars. I own the 8X25 model and they are plenty powerful enough and bright enough to see birds hundreds of yards away. The binoculars are comfortable in my hand as well.

The only real issue I have noticed with the optics is that the edges of the viewing circle (what's the technical name for that??) aren't quite as clear as the center of the circle. This has NOT been a problem for me, as it only affects the outer 3%-5% of the viewing area.

There are two other things you must consider with these binoculars. One - because they are NOT waterproof, they are not suitable for use in rainy conditions. I have not had any problem with humidity causing fogging, but I suppose it could be possible.

Two - they have a ONE-TIME fix-it warranty, unlike the more expensive Eagle Optics products. With these, you can send them in for repair ONCE (along with a check for $25.) If you drop your binoculars often or bang them into things, this may be something you will want to consider. However, the binoculars are so inexpensive, you could simply purchase another pair.

All in all, I am thrilled with my compact Triumphs. I recommend them to all my friends.

I was looking for a light weight easy to handle set of binoculars that would allow for viewing birds that alight on a bird feeder that is close to the house. These will focus on very close objects such as butterflies and birds. Good construction and good optics make this a good choice for my purposes.

The Eagle Optics Triumph binoculars are really a great buy.The images are clear and field of vision great. Unfortunately what Willoughby's sends you is not Eagle Optics Triumph 8x25. It is a different brand and if you want the Eagle Optics brand buy it somewhere else.
