Small Wonder
[ Posted: 2008-11-16 ]
This is a very study small DSLR camera bag. I use mine to carry my Canon Rebel XSI with kit lens and 55-250 or 50 1.8, but not all three. I can however, barely fit a small extra lens and flash (430 EXII) but the bag becomes hard to close, and I wouldn't recommend it. Never really had to use it, but I like the idea of having the all weather cover in case I'm caught in a down poor.
Large outside, Small inside, Holds Nikon D40 + Stuff

This bag holds my Nikon D40 with 18-55 DX lens with room for a handful of accessories (battery charger + spare battery and power cord; USB cable; lens/body caps; UV filter case).
I found it difficult to position the padding perfectly for the D40, so the dividers don't quite cradle the camera. However, all of the accessories that I find some need for having when I'm not at home fit just fine in the bag, and none of the pockets are completely filled. Also, there doesn't seem to be a perfect corner for tucking in the neck strap - I always end up folding it in some wierd position.
I don't see much of a good way to fit another lens inside - but hopefully by the time I can afford more glass, I'll have enough cash for a slightly larger bag too.
I haven't had an oppurtunity to test the AW (All Weather) cover yet. However, while not in use, you can barely tell it exists.
For soem reason, the price went up since I bought it - it was $18.33 at the time of purchase, but two weeks later, it's going for $23.40. Also, I don't see why other colors are more expensive - the black one is about ten bucks more.
Way too big

I got this case for my Canon S3 IS based on a review of the Tamrac 5696 Digital 6. When it arrived, it was way to big. The camera was kind of lost inside. While it does have adjustable sides, it is much better than I need, and isn't something I want to be lugging around on my trip.
If I were a more serious photographer, it might be ok, but it is much too large to carry around as a tourist.
Excellent buy!

I wanted a bag to carry my camera, a Canon S2, my battery charger, batteries and other equipment and also other things like my wallet and cosmetic items so I decided on this item. The bag is very durable and sturdy. The weather protector looks a bit silly but believe me, it works! I've had it for over 5 months and I'm very happy with it.
Great Bag! Well made; nice features

I've really come to love this bag. Everything is sewed well and feels really sturdy. The foam used to cushion the compartments in the bag (there's a moveable divider (attaches with Velcro-style strips) in the main compartment) is sturdy and protects the contents well. There is space enough for a medium sized digital camera, a compact battery charger and batteries, cables, and a few memory cards. This bag also has a weatherproof hood that comes out of a hidden zipper to wrap the whole thing up and protect it from rain--a very cool feature. Anyway, I know it's hard to get too excited about a bag, but this really is a cool one.
