Description
The Lorex QLR0434C-A VistaPro 4-port Digital Monitoring System with 4 Color Cameras allows you to turn your PC into a video security system. The VisaPro system includes a video capture card with four video input connections, four cameras, and all the necessary software and connection and mounting hardware to instantly transform your PC into a surveillance center. Complete with digital recording of live video, remote monitoring, alarm notification capabilities, and other features, this system is the perfect economical option for your home or small-business security needs.
The VistaPro video-capture card and software allows your PC to remotely view all four camera feeds simultaneously, or view an individual camera feed full-screen either alone or sequentially between cameras. Feature-rich, this system also allows digital-freeze and zoom-in options, as well as remote configuration of pan/tilt settings for each camera. The QLR0434C-A includes the option of connecting an external alarm block (ACC-ALM) so you can connect external PIR sensors. In the event that an alarm is triggered, the VistaPro system can call your phone, pager, or activate your instant messaging system depending upon your input. Each of the four cameras that comes with the QLR0434C-A utilize 0.33-inch color CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensors, and utilize 3.6mm fixed lenses. The QLR0434C-A's cameras each come with their own 62-foot connection cables allowing you to install them virtually anywhere.

About Surveillance Camera Technical Features
Lux rating is the measurement used to indicate how sensitive a camera is to light, and stands for the level of light reflected off a piece of paper by a candle from one meter away. Thus a sensitivity of three Lux would mean a camera could generate an acceptable picture of a piece-of-paper-sized object that was illuminated by the equivalent of three candles from one meter away. The lower the Lux level, the better the camera's ability to work in low-light conditions. The camera's resolution should be greater than or equal to the resolution supported by the system's recorder or monitor. The S/N, or signal to noise ratio, is an important measure of a camera's quality. A poor camera, low-light conditions or poor wiring causes "noise" which consumes processing power and disk space. A camera with a wide dynamic range is ideal, especially for recording areas in which both indoor and outdoor light are present. CCD (charge-coupled device) sensors provide high-quality images that are less susceptible to noise. CMOS (complimentary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensors offer less image quality, but are usually more cost-effective and energy efficient.
