The remote switch works just like a shutter button, enabling halfway or complete pressing. It also has a shutter-release lock. With the EOS-3's Custom Function No. 12 (mirror lockup), camera shake can be further reduced. Its quick-lock plug connects to the new N-3 type remote control socket. Works like it should

After struggling with a cheapo ebay (a new "buy it now") purchase, I got frustrated enough to pay the extra for the actual item. It works well, and every time. It was the right decision.

Canon RS-80N3 is reliable product and it is doing what user expects from it.No complains at all. You are getting quality for the money. If you spent 500$ or more for the camera,it is recommended to spend 40$ more than buy garbage in a Dollar store.

I use my Canon D30 for macro photography and before I got this remote switch I ended up with a lot of blurred photos; now I have better control and fewer blurry shots. It also works with my autofocus feature. It has made me a better photographer.

The Canon 80N3 works smoothly with a "soft" cable that doesn't twist. But it is still too expensive. The cheaper models that I previously bought lacked quality and quickly broke, so I guess you get what you pay!
Well its a dumb wire with a switch sure it works...

But for the life of me I cant understand why this thing costs 50$ its an outrage. I use it a lot and it works great but the price is just ridiculous.
The one comment is that the disconnect is not so user friendly and at night when you most times need the remote its hard to disconnect.
The biggest issue is still the price......
