Offering convenient USB and parallel connectivity, plus infrared, CompactFlash, and Bluetooth, you can produce documents from your laptop, cell phone, digital camera, or handheld device in just seconds. Print resolution is a sharp 1,200 x 1,200 dpi in black. Optimized photo-quality resolution is an outstanding 4,800 x 1,20 dpi when using premium photo paper and 1,200 x 1,200 dpi input, and the print cartridge is capable of producing up to 400 color (450 monochrome) sheets in its lifetime. An optional photo cartridge (HP 58) makes available HP's exclusive PhotoRet IV color layering technology. HP rates the printer speed at up to 9 ppm black, 8 ppm color in draft mode.
An optional long-life lithium-ion battery (HP model C8222A) supplies power for 350 pages per charge; with the battery installed, the printer still weighs just 4.5 pounds. HP provides a one-year hardware warranty, and full online and phone technical support for 12 months.

Connectivity problems
[ Posted: 2007-02-22 ]
Kudos to HP for trying to come up with a traveling printer. It's rugged and handsome and the bluetooth feature is way cool. My main problem is connectivity, particulary for my laptop. These days, the laptop just doesn't "see" it. Previously, the printer was recognized but, when running on batteries, turned off to save power, and then I had to reboot for it to be recognized again. Disappointing for the money.
paper jams still an issue in 2004 models

Just like everyone else, I was a fan of the DeskJet 450 until the paper feed problems started. My printer is dated from June of 2004, so as of two years ago, the design flaw had not been fixed. I can't even begin to count all the time I've wasted trying to get a single sheet of paper to print!!
Very Frustrated!

It's just like everyone else has said. This printer worked great for about a year of limited use and then the paper jams started. It would not take card stock or other heavy weighed papers. I have to constantly push the paper in to get it to feed. I absolutely loved this printer at first and thought of getting another one just like it but after seeing these reviews--no way!!!
Great! But then there are the paper jams.

This printer worked great for about a year. Then the paper started jamming and it is now completely useless. I think it's somewhere in my basement. Don't waste your money on this one.

This printer jams on me all the time. HP should feel ashamed of itself for selling it!
