I use it not only as an adapter, but as a lens hood. Only drawback is you have to remove it when shutting down the camera.

the adapter fits nicely on UZ series, but the length is made just about exactly, without reserves, so to set some filters on you need to unscrew it a little for there will enough space ... or get some knd of extending 55mm tube on which you'll mount optics , because unscrewing it a little as mentioned produces a few artifacts on images (len flare, vignetting , light gets where it should not be ;) )
overall, you can go much wrong or sky high with this one ... good bang for buck still

The CLA-4 Lens Adapter Tube seems very difficult to position so it will thread straight into the lens barrel. I lose a lot of time getting it positioned just exactly right. Other than that, it is fine - it fits the camera and the telephoto lens and seems to hold the rather heavy lens quite securely once it is properly positioned.

Hi,
The Lence adapter tube really has helped me in widening my useability for the camera. Now i can attach various other lences to it.
The adapter is verry strong metal, and has a tight screw fitting so no dust enters.
