Way too tall!

I got this stand with my Casio WK-110. It was easy to assemble. When I got it set up with the keyboard on it, it was WAY TOO TALL! Since I am 5'2", I automatically set the stand on the lowest setting when assembling it. When I pulled up my bench, I felt like a 4 year old at the piano! I even went so far as using an office chair to raise me up. I set the chair to the necessary height, then I couldn't reach the sustain pedal!
So, to the designers of this stand, I only have one thing to say. NOT ALL AMERICANS ARE 6 FEET TALL! I'm not a tall person, but neither am I a dwarf. Before I bought this Casio, I had a wonderful Yamaha keyboard with a stand. When set to its lowest setting, it was perfect for me. Too bad I couldn't use the old stand, but it wasn't wide enough for the Casio.

After reading many negative comments about this stand, I was wondering whether I should get this or not. But a used one from craigslist still costs 20 plus GAS, YES, you need to add GAS to your cost these days, not just TAX!!! Amazon's price is only half gallon more and decent return policy, so I still gave it a try. To my surprise, I am lucky to have all the pieces, screws and etc to make it a sturdy keyboard stand for my used WK-1630 in less than 5 min!

I didn't read the instruction as it is not that useful as indicated, but again, just looking at the picture you should know which one goes to where easily. Of course, you need to have all the screws otherwise you are screwed. :-)

Anyway, I am happy with the stand.

Okay, but leaves you wanting for more...

The instructions are visual ONLY...a fuzzy picture with parts labeled. Very much unlike most times when assembly instructions are much better and detailed. I had to stop in the middle coz I goofed up.
The stand itself is fine for the intended purpose...to support an entry level keyboard thats not too heavy. The double-X certainly is a plus.
Mine was packed well, but the hardware was still missing a nut...another first time oddity, considering that I have never had the problem of missing hardware. Since this issue has been reported by other folks, something definitely is not right.
OVERALL: Not bad as a First stand for 20 bucks.

no hardware, no instructions

I did not purchase this stand from Amazon but experienced the same difficulty with missing hardware. No, I am no unobservant and they were NOT in the legs for my convenience. They were missing in action as were the assembly instructions. Fortunately I live with a skillful metal worker and we were able to assemble this thing. After assembly it was sturdy enough but assembly instructions would have been nice. All in all a disappointing experience.
