Description

The System 3 is the perfect camera bag for those photographers with a digital or film SLR, two or three lenses and a few accessories. It cradles the camera with attached zoom lens in Tamrac's USA patented Lens-Bridge and LensGate Divider Systems. Tamrac's full-coverage Dual Action Top provides quick access to the interior, featuring foam-padded adjustable dividers and a pocket inside the top to keep film and accessories visible and organized. The 5603 is equipped with a Slide Pocket that incorporates Tamrac's exclusive Memory & Battery Management System (patent pending) for holding memory cards, batteries and other accessories. The ZipDrop front pocket is compartmentalized for accessories or personal items. A zippered, mesh accessory pocket keeps small items in easy reach. The zippered pocket in back provides a handy place for tickets and documents. An EasyGrip handle, BioCurve shoulder strap with a non-slip patch and Piggy-Back Pocket combine with the rest of the features to make this an excellent choice for the photographer with a single camera and equipment.

The Tamrac System 3 camera bag provides plenty of foam-padded storage space for the mobile photographer. Capable of holding an SLR body with a zoom lens attached, as well as an additional two to three lenses and a flash, the System 3 transports the equipment a photographer will need in most circumstances. Accessory pockets abound--both the top and front flaps have mesh pockets on their interior side that can hold filters or other flat items. The front flap also hides a set of pockets capable of holding everything from battery packs to lens cleaning supplies to maps. The top flap offers protection against rain and other weather, especially when the storm zipper is closed. Both a handle and a shoulder strap are provided to carry the System 3 around.

We use this bag to organize our digital camera and digital camcorder. There's a pocket for everything, including all the cords and everything has it's own place. It's not easy to get into, great when you have kids but not quick for the adult. You just have to know when you will need the camera. Offers great protection for those expensive cameras.

little to small for every thing to fit in

I purchased this Tamrac 5603 System 3 Bag in black yesterday.

The first impression was really good (outside):
- Nice black-color
- looks and feels really weather-resistant (haven't tried it out yet)
- Sides soft and big enough, so your equipment stays secure.
- Good carry-around size
- Not too heavy itself

Inside:
- It is a bit smaller than I expected and I needed to figure out, how to "set it up"
- There is a wall-system inside which you can setup how you like/prefer it, depending on your stuff
- The walls are a little too soft in my oppinion, but doesnt do any bad at all
- Enough space for the small parts like memory-cards, cables, batteries etc

What I carry in it:
- Canon Rebel XTi (fits good)
- Canon 50mm f/1.4
- Canon 28-105mm USM
- Canon 70-200mm f/4 L
- Canon 430ex Speedlight

How good does the stuff fit?:
I'd say OK...a little too tight though...
- The Rebel-Body is not too big, definitely space for a bigger body!
- When the 70-200m L lens is mounted, the space to the sides is too small for putting the other lenses in
upright position.
- Keep the camera mounted with a smaller zoom-lens (like the 28-105mm) and you'll have enough space to
carry two extra lenses (even bigger ones up to 200mm L ) in upright position.
- The external flash easily fits into it (pretty flat in upright position)

Overall it is a good bag and I feel much better carrying around expensive equipment with a bag I feel safe with....
The capacity-limit is pretty much reached now, so If you read this and there is ANY thinking about "might my stuff fit in?" or "I could get another lens or piece of equipment?"....GET THIS BAG ONE SIZE BIGGER!

For all the others: It's a nice bag, that you totally can't go wrong with...

Have fun with it! ;)

Perfect size for an SLR and one or two lenses or a lens and flash. My favorite feature is the pull out CF card holder. I've used this bag for over a year with no complaints.
