I got this lens for my daughter. I shoot Leica. We went to Mexico together, did lots of the tourist photos. When we got home we had a one hour lab print 5X7s. For sharpness and contrast it was a near match to the Leica. I can't think of a better endorsement for a lens under $100.00. Sure the zoom range is limited and it is a bit slow. but the build quality is good and it make fine images.
Its an okay lens at an okay price.

The zoom ring on my lens does not operate smoothly as there's a "notch" at about the 50mm mark. When I say that the price is okay (I paid [price])...
