Description

Because the Casio Phonemate CP-750 transmits on the 900 MHz band, it offers clearer sound and less interference than phones using older lower-band technologies. This phone includes call waiting/caller ID and stores and displays up to 50 numbers in its call history list, along with names and the dates and times of calls.

The CP-750 includes Modem Monitor, an especially helpful feature if you use a modem or fax machine on the same line as your phone. Modem Monitor knows the difference between voice and data calls, so it prevents you from accidentally interrupting an online session or a fax transmission when you activate the handset.

The CP-750 handset includes a three-line display that shows the phone's status (whether or not it's in use) and the length of time you've been on your call. This display also shows the name, number, date, and time of each caller in the caller ID log. With "display and dial," you can scroll through names and numbers in the caller ID log or in the autodial memory and then dial those numbers by just pressing a button. When you receive a new caller ID call, a light on the base goes on.

The CP-750's other features include autodialing for up to 20 names and numbers, a toll-call indicator, and hold with extension release. In addition, this phone has a new-call indicator (an icon indicates the number of a new incoming call), a jack for an optional headset, and a belt clip. You can mount the CP-750 on a desktop or a wall; from either position, the handset will recharge and you will be able to view the caller ID information.

First thing - Amazon's prices are great and their customer relations and complete guarantee satisfaction treatment is beyond reproach. I found this same item in retail stores @ $69.95. This phone has features found on more expensive units but at an extreme quality cost. The three-line readout on the backlit LCD display is so small and so weakly displayed, so as to make it almost impossible to read. This was most annoying when checking out a caller and when trying to recall a memory location and information. The monitor alert is really an unnecessary gadget that is not found on any of the better quality cordless phones. Save your money on this one and look to a Uniden or Panasonic. You may pay a little more, but you will be well rewarded, especially on their LCD displays.
